Mix and…Not Match?

You know when you were younger you liked to dress yourself which meant throwing on anything and everything – even if it did not match, you got away with it! Mixing prints, is kind of like that but  now there is a twist to it to keep you looking fashionable correct.  The key is to find pieces that have a common color scheme, theme or mood.  Link items that have varied proportions or different textures.  One item should be a stand out bold print, the other should be more subtle – meaning do not do two bright prints at once.  Leopard print, is such a popular pattern, it is more like a “neutral” when mixing prints.  Odd? Yes, but true.  Fun, a little tricky, but if pulled together right, not only have you mixed patterns, but you will also “match”!
