You would think once the warmer temps come around, you pack up all clothing that was worn throughout the fall and winter, but not so much anymore. I am seeing blazers everywhere, still!
The key to wearing this look into the summer is opting for lighter weight fabrics. Very versatile for the warmer weather because they can be paired with anything, rather it be a maxi dress, floral mini or cut-off denim shorts. It is a great polish off to any look for the season. So many colors, styles and patterns to choose – great element to incorporate into your summer wardrobe, not the norm for hotter weather, have fun with it but keep it cool!

With the new season, brighter and bolder shades are a great change of pace from the darker hues we have worn throughout fall and winter. Don’t limit yourself, lighten up your day-to-day outfit by adding some color!
Pair contrasting shades together to create a color-block illusion. Be careful to not go overboard on colors, restrain to no more than three hues.
AS AN ACCENT
Add on a touch of color with an accessory, the vibrant hue will complement your look.
The focal point of your outfit, the vivacious color is the center of attention, so be sure to down play on the accessories.
This is the brightest piece to your look, select one bold shade and build your outfit with pieces that are more subtle, leaving that one bright item as the only stand out.
Instantly spice up your outfit by adding a touch of color on your feet.

It just so happens that two of my favorite leading ladies are July cover girls, Blake Lively graces the Glamour July cover, while Rihanna poses for Cosmopolitan. While I won’t spoil with tidbits from their cover features, I will share the photos!
Blake, to me, looks so effortlessly put together at all times, dons the cover in Michael Kors. Although all of her outfits throughout her feature are amaze I had to share my favorites. I can honestly say, I would wear every single one of these outfits. Gasp, how gorgeous is the Stella McCartney polka dot blouse. Simply stunning.
Good news for all that love the outfit Rihanna is rocking on the July cover, you can actually shop these items now, see below. Rihanna charms with her exotic get up, as usual. I must say the “red” is one of her best accessories!

Not that a LBD will ever go out of style, but a LWD is just perfect for the warmer temperatures! A change of pace from the norm and a great way to summerize your summer wardrobe. Easily paired with pretty much anything, a neutral heel with a pop of color or add a bright pump and opt for a subtle choice in your accessories. Crisp yet pure look is a key staple this season.

Stylist turned designer, surprised? Definitely not, Rachel Zoe debuted her second signature collection, nothing short of the seventie’s – esque silhouettes. The new collection full of neutral hues with a pop of color; such as, royal blue, purple and red. Also including inspiration from her favorite era including, tailored tops, flared bottoms, billowy fabrics and high-waisted denim. Taking a glimpse through the look book, I thought I was looking at Rachel Zoe! Which I guess is a good thing, it makes her line believable because I could absolutely see her in every single one of these amazing pieces, along with myself!
Available to shop at the end of 2011, you can shop the RZ Resort Collection at Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale’s, Saks, Nordstorm and Shopbop.com.
What can we expect next from RZ? Season 4 of The Rachel Zoe Project (coming this July) and a jewelry collection, launching in Fall 2012.
See below slide show for the entire Resort Collection.
